Box Score HONOLULU--The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team (0-3) fell to Arkansas, 6-1 in the first match of a two-match series on Thursday at the UH Tennis Complex.

After dropping the first doubles match, UH's No. 1 duo of Azuma Visaya and Tianhao Hou came up just short to Arkansas' Connor Smillie and Marino Jakic, 6-4. UH's No. 2 duo of Karl Collins and Diego Dalisay were leading Jakub Vrba and Lukas Palovic, 5-4 when the doubles point was decided.

In singles, the Razorbacks swept five of the six matches. With the match already decided, UH's 77th-ranked Visaya was UH's lone singles winner. He fought his way back after dropping the first set to even the match at a set apiece to force a third set, super tie-breaker. Visaya edged out Arkansas' Bozo Barun, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (11-9). On the No. 3 court, UH's Andy Hernandez came up short by just a break in both sets to fall to Marino Jakic, 6-4, 6-4. 

The Rainbow Warriors will face off against the Razorbacks for their second match on Friday, Jan. 10 at the UH Tennis Complex. The start time has moved up an hour and will begin at 3:00 p.m. HT.
