Rainbow Wahine Open Three-Match Road Trip

HONOLULU – After capping off a six-match homestand to start the season, Hawai'i will hit the road for the first time when it opens a three-match road trip this weekend against Seattle U and Eastern Washington.
 
The Rainbow Wahine will play at Seattle U on Thursday at 4 p.m. HT before heading east to take on the Eagles on Sunday at 10 a.m. HT. UH is tied, 2-2, in the all-time series with both teams with wins in the last meeting against both the Redhawks and Eagles.

BACK ON TRACK
The Rainbow Wahine got back on the winning track the last time out with a 4-1 win over North Dakota State Sunday. UH struck for two goals in each half highlighted by Brynn Mitchell's brace and the go-ahead score in the first half by Nalani Damacion. Goalkeeper Kennedy Justin picked up her first collegiate victory with seven saves while Jordyn Eldredge Sagapolutele found the back of the net for the first time as a Rainbow Wahine. Head coach MICHELE NAGAMINE also earned her 100th win as a collegiate head coach.
 
PLENTY OF OPTIONS
Hawai'i has displayed its depth throughout the first six matches of the season, as 16 players have played at least 200 minutes. Additionally, 20 different players started at least one match while nine different players have scored a point. The 'Bows have been able to keep most of its roster relatively fresh through the busy opening stretch, as just three players are averaging over 70 minutes per match and 24 different Rainbow Wahine have gotten minutes.
 
BRING 'EM BACK
The Rainbow Wahine boast a wealth of experience on their 2024 roster. UH has nine players on its roster that have appeared in 30-plus career matches in addition to 11 players who have at least 15 career starts. The 'Bows also return over 70 percent of their production from last season in most of the main statistical categories while the players on the roster have combined for some impressive career numbers.

Hawai'i head coach Michele Nagamine reached the 100-career win milestone in Sunday's victory over North Dakota State. Nagamine got to the century-mark in wins across her 16 seasons as a collegiate head coach, spending her first three years at Hawai'i Pacific before coaching the last 13 seasons for the Rainbow Wahine.
