HONOLULU – The Hawai'i women's cross country team will take its first road trip of the season when it travels to the UCR Invitational Saturday.
The 10 Rainbow Wahine in the field will compete in the 6k invitational event beginning at 4:15 a.m. HT.

UH is coming off of a dominant start to the season in which it swept the Big Wave Invitational at Kahuku Golf Course. The 'Bows took each of the top five spots in the 5k race to post a perfect score of 15 points, led by
Emilie Kirk Langschwager who earned Big West Athlete of the Week honors after winning the event with a time of 18:09.80.
Freshman
Lucy Milliner finished runner-up in her collegiate debut in 18:28.6 while senior transfer
Sariah Hernandez followed in third place with a time of 18:43.4.
Zola O'Donnell came in fourth with a time of 19:36.9 to kick off her sophomore season and
Kira Moe rounded out the UH top five with a time of 19:53.1.
Three other UH athletes finished in the top 10 as
Nicole Sevcikova placed seventh in 20:13.7 followed by a pair of freshmen in
Lucy Becker in eighth with a time of 20:20.5 and
Gemma Warman in 10th with a mark of 20:34.3.
Following this weekend's action at the UCR Invitational, the Rainbow Wahine will compete at the Charles Bowles Invitational, Oct. 5 in Salem, Ore.
