HONOLULU – Hawai'i closes out its 10-day, three-match road trip to the Pacific Northwest by taking on Portland State Thursday at 3 p.m. HT.
The Rainbow Wahine will look to get back on the winning track in their final match before they return home to open Big West play Sept. 19 against UC Davis. UH leads the all-time series between the two schools, 3-2-1, winning the last meeting on Sept. 8, 2022 in Portland, 2-1.

PLENTY OF OPTIONS
Hawai'i has displayed its depth throughout the first eight matches of the season, as 13 players are averaging at least 45 minutes per match. Additionally, 20 different players started at least one match while nine different players have scored a point. The 'Bows have been able to keep most of its roster relatively fresh through the nonconference slate, as 24 different Rainbow Wahine have gotten minutes and only one player is averaging over 70 minutes per match.
ON THE ATTACK
Hawai'i has done a good job of creating goal-scoring opportunities throughout the first eight matches. UH leads the Big West with an average of 14.0 shot attempts per match, and have fired off at least 13 shots in six of the eight matches this year. The Rainbow Wahine have turned up the pressure even more in the last four matches, averaging 17.0 shots per game over that stretch with at least 13 shots in all four. Hawai'i has out-shot its opponent in five of the eight matches while four of the top 10 players in the Big West in shots per match are Rainbow Wahine.
Brynn Mitchell is third in the conference averaging 2.50 shots per match while
Tatum Porter and
Cate Sheahan are tied for fifth with 2.00 per match and
Nalani Damacion is 10th, attempting 1.88 shots per game.
BRING 'EM BACK
The Rainbow Wahine boast a wealth of experience on their 2024 roster. UH has nine players on its roster that have appeared in 30-plus career matches in addition to 11 players who have at least 15 career starts. The 'Bows also return over 70 percent of their production from last season in most of the main statistical categories while the players on the roster have combined for some impressive career numbers.

Nalani Damacion has gotten her collegiate career off to an impactful start, earning BIg West Freshman of the Week honors following opening weekend. Damacion has delivered the game-winning goal in each of UH's two victories and is the only player in the Big West with multiple game-winners. Damacion became the first Rainbow Wahine freshman to score a game-winner in a season opener, converting in the 86th minute of a 3-2 win over Georgia Southern. Against North Dakota State on Sept. 1, Damacion found the back of the net in the 21st minute to put Hawai'i in front for good. On the year, the Rocklin, Calif. native has a pair of goals and 10 shot attempts and has started each of the last five matches while seeing action in all six.
