TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – University of Hawai'i wide receiver Pofele Ashlock was named to the Biletnikoff Award Preseason Watch list announced by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation.
 
Ashlock is one of 49 receivers on the list, including four from the Mountain West along with Colorado State's Tory Horton, Boise State's Ashton Jeanty, and Utah State's Jalen Royals.
 
Last season, the Euless, Texas native was named a Freshman All-American and honorable mention all-Mountain West. He led all FBS freshmen in receptions (83) and receiving yards (832) and was third in TD receptions (9) and receiving yards per game (64.0).
 
The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes college football's outstanding FBS receiver regardless of position. Any player who catches a pass is eligible for the award. Receivers are frequently added to the watch list as their season performances dictate.
 
The semifinalists, finalists, and award recipient are selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of 600 prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners, and other former receivers.
 
The winner will be announced in December at The Home Depot College Football Awards show. The Biletnikoff Award Banquet and Celebration will be held March 29, 2025 at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center in Tallahassee, Fla.
 
The award is named for the former Florida State and Oakland Raiders receiver who is a member of the pro and college football halls of fame.
