Borrow Selected To Ray Guy Award Watch List For Third Time

AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of Hawai'i's Lucas Borrow was among a group of 33 punters named to the 2024 Ray Guy Award Watch List announced by the Augusta Sports Council. The award is presented to the nation's top collegiate punter in FBS.

Borrow, a transfer from Ball State, was named to the Ray Guy Award Watch List twice previously while playing for the Cardinals. Last season, he was named to the all-MAC third team after averaging 41.8 yards per punt. In three seasons at BSU, he averaged 41.3 yards per punt with 19 punts over 50 yards and 47 inside the 20. None of his 133 punts were blocked.

The semifinalists will be announced on November 15 and the winner will be revealed live during The Home Depot College Football Awards in December.

Borrow is one of five punters from the Mountain West on the list along with Boise State's James Ferguson-Reynolds, Utah State's Stephen Kotsanlee, UNLV's Marshall Nichols, and New Mexico's Aaron Rodriguez.

The last UH punter named to the Ray Guy Award Watch List was Stan Gaudion in 2018.
