HONOLULU – Winners of five in a row and seven of the last eight games, Hawai'i hosts Big West-leader CSUN for a three-game series Friday through Sunday at Les Murakami Stadium.
The 'Bows will look to keep climbing up the conference standings when they take on the Matadors, who come into the weekend with the nation's longest active winning streak at nine games. CSUN leads the all-time series between the two schools, 41-22, taking two out of three games last year in Northridge.

The Rainbow Warrior pitching staff currently ranks in the top 25 nationally in a number of key categories. UH is 12th nationally in walks allowed per nine innings (3.27), strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.69), 24th in WHIP (1.33) and 25th in ERA (4.41).
RAKING RAINBOWS
The Rainbow Warrior offense has put up numbers that haven't been seen in the recent history of the program. UH is averaging 7.34 runs per game, on pace to be the highest scoring offense since 1998 while the team's .292 batting average would be the highest since 2007 if the season ended today. Additionally, the team's .417 on-base percentage would shatter the previous program single-season record (since 2002) of .395.
HEATING UP
Winners of the last five games and seven of the last eight, Hawai'i will look to continue its hot play this weekend vs. conference leader CSUN. The Rainbow Warriors are coming off of a road sweep of UC San Diego and a midweek win over Hawai'i Hilo. Prior to the four victories this past week, the 'Bows took two of three games from Cal Poly with both of those wins coming in walk-off fashion.

The Rainbow Warriors have taken the lead in the eighth inning or later in eight of their victories this year, with six of those coming in the ninth inning or extra innings. UH has won six games in which it was tied or trailing after eight innings while winning six times when tied or trailing through seven frames. The 'Bows have scored 72 runs in the eighth inning or later on the year, with 54 of those coming in the eighth inning. Seven different players have delivered the eventual game-winning RBI in the eight games in which UH has taken the lead in the eighth inning or later.
