HONOLULU – The No. 2 University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team continues Big West play with a two-match series against No. 18 CSUN, Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23 at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. The Rainbow Warriors (17-3, 0-2 BWC) opened league play last week, dropping a pair of matches to Long Beach State in Long Beach, Calif. The Matadors (9-10, 0-2) also opened Big West last week and suffered two losses to UC San Diego.

- UH (17-3, 0-2 BWC) begins its final homestand of the season this week. The Rainbow Warriors will next host No. 20 UC Santa Barbara for a two-match series March 29-30 at SimpliFi Arena.
- UH slipped from the No. 1 national ranking to No. 2 this week after dropping a pair of matches to new-No. 1 Long Beach State last week while CSUN fell two spots to No. 18 after dropped a pair of matches to UC San Diego.
- UH is 14-1 at home this season with a current 13-match home win streak. Of UH's 14 home wins, 12 have come in straight sets.
- UH leads the all-time series with CSUN, 61-41 and has won the last eight, dating back to 2019.
- UH also holds a 32-7 advantage in the series in Honolulu, including a current eight-match home win streak dating back to 2015. The Matadors took both matches in Honolulu during the 2013 campaign.
- Head coach Charlie Wade has a 19-7 record against CSUN.
- The last time UH started 0-2 in Big West play was 2022, after dropping both matches to Long Beach State in Long Beach. The Warriors went on to win their final eight league matches that season and avenged both losses to the Beach wins in the Big West Championship title match and NCAA Tournament championship match.
- MB Guilherme Voss needs one more block to become the seventh Warrior all-time with 400 career total blocks. He also needs seven blocks to move into the school's career Top 5 list. Taylor Averill and Matt Rawson are tied for fifth with 406.
- OH Louis Sakanoko received his second Big West Freshman of the Week award after posting season-highs of 19 kills, nine digs, and three blocks in a five-set loss to Long Beach State last week. Setter Tread Rosenthal has won the award six times this season.
- CSUN outside hitter Kyle Hobus is the team leader in kills per set (3.62), points per set (4.48), aces per set (0.42), and blocks per set (0.73).
