Box Score HONOLULU -- The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team opened up Big West play with a 4-0 home loss to UC Davis Friday afternoon at the UH Tennis Complex. The loss snapped a three-match win streak for the Rainbow Warriors (4-6, 0-1) who entered the day having won four of their last five matches.
The Aggies (6-5, 1-0) claimed the No. 2 and 3 courts in doubles to clinch the first point of the dual match, then proceeded to win a trio singles matches at the No. 2, 5 and 6 flights to claim the victory. After the Aggies clinched the team win on Court No. 2, the final three courts went unfinished with UC Davis up a set in each of those.
The Rainbow Warriors will next head up to Northern California and the Sacramento State Invitational, March 9-10, before returning home for a pair of Big West matches vs. UC Santa Barbara (March 28) and Cal Poly (March 30).
