COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Hawai'i placed six members on the Mountain West's all-conference teams as selected by a panel of media and the league's 12 head coaches.
Cornerback
Cam Stone was named to the first team while five others received honorable mention honors – punter
Lucas Borrow, offensive tackle
Ka'ena Decambra, safety
Peter Manuma, nickelback
Elijah Palmer, and defensive end
Elijah Robinson.
Manuma is a three-time honorable mention selection while Stone earned his third all-conference recognition after receiving honorable mention honors at Wyoming in 2022 and at UH last season.
Over the weekend, Stone was named the team's Most Valuable Player at the Alec Waterhouse Memorial Awards Banquet. He is the first UH defensive player named to the all-conference first team since Darius Muasau and Khoury Bethley in 2021.
Cam Stone
- One of two defensive players on the team to start all 12 games
- Ranks No. 3 nationally among cornerbacks in overall defensive grade (90.2) and coverage grade (90.3) among players who have played a minimum of 50% of the team's snaps according to Pro Football Focus
- Had eight pass breakups and a team-high two interceptions on the year
- According to PFF, his receivers were targeted 42 times and he allowed 23 receptions and only one touchdown
- Also had 38 total tackles (29 solo), including 3.0 for loss and one forced fumble
- His blocked PAT in the second quarter against Fresno State proved to be the difference in UH's 21-20 road victory
Lucas Borrow
- Ranks No. 2 in the Mountain West and No. 7 nationally with a 45.50 average
- His 45.50 average is the third-highest in a single-season in program history
- Had 13 punts of 50+ yards and 13 inside the 20
- Booted three punts of 60+ yards, including a career-long 70-yarder against Boise State, which was the longest by a Rainbow Warrior since 2015
- Twice named Ray Guy Award's weekly Ray's 8 following the Boise State and Sam Houston games
- Averaged 52.5 yards per punt in four punts against Sam Houston and 48.8 yards on four punts versus Boise State
Ka'ena Decambra
- Started all 12 games at left tackle
- Highest graded UH lineman with a 71.7 grade according to Pro Football Focus
- Tied for No. 14 in the Mountain West among all offensive lineman who played a minimum of 80% of the team's snaps according to PFF
- Graded the No. 4 left tackle in the Mountain West according to PFF
- Allowed only three sacks and four quarterback hits in 576 pass blocking snaps
- Anchored unit of the MW's third-best passing attack at 268.17 yards per game
Peter Manuma
- Started nine games at safety
- Fourth on the team with 43 total tackles (31 solo)
- Had three pass breakups and one forced fumble
- Leads all MW safeties in overall defensive grade (82.6) and coverage grade (87.2) according to Pro Football Focus
- Season-high eight tackles against UCLA
Elijah Palmer
- Started nine games at nickelback
- Had 32 total tackles (24 solo) on the year with 4.5 tackles-for-loss
- Also had one interception and five pass breakups
- Ranks No. 8 among all MW cornerbacks in overall defensive grade (75.6) according to Pro Football Focus
- Seventh-best coverage grade (79.2) among MW cornerbacks according to PFF
Elijah Robinson
- One of two defensive players on the team to start all 12 games
- Finished third on the team with 51 tackles (36 solo) and had a team-high 10.5 tackles-for-loss
- Also shared the team lead with five sacks
- Recorded a career-high 11 tackles (10 solo), including three for loss at San Diego State
- Highest graded MW edge defender against the run (78.6), according to Pro Football Focus
- Ranks No. 6 among edge defenders in overall defensive grade (73.0) according to PFF
