Schedule Notes
- UH will play all four rivalry trophy opponents in the same season for just the second time – home at Wyoming and on the road at Air Force, San Jose State, and UNLV.
- UH will play at least two Power 4 conference teams in the same season for the fifth time in the last six seasons (excluding 2020 COVID season). UH will host Stanford for the second time in the last three seasons and will play Arizona for the third time since 2016.
- Excluding the 2020 COVID season, UH will play an FCS opponent – Portland State – for the 11th consecutive season and 17 of the last 18 seasons. Hawai'i has won its last 22 games versus FCS teams with its last FCS loss against Portland State in 2000.
- UH will play Fresno State, San Diego State, Utah State, and Colorado State for the final time as Mountain West opponents as the four schools will depart for the Pac-12 in 2026.
- Nevada is not on UH's schedule for the first time since 1999. The teams played 25 consecutive seasons from 2000-24.
- Hawai'i and San Diego State will play each other for the 14th consecutive year. UH will look to snap a five-game losing streak in the series.
- UH and UNLV will meet for the 17th straight season when the two teams play for the Island Showdown Trophy in Las Vegas. The Rebels have won the last two in the series.
- UH and Air Force will meet for the first time in Colorado Springs, Colo., since 2016. Hawai'i owns possession of the Kuter Trophy by virtue of a win in 2023.
- Hawai'i and San Jose State will meet for the Dick Tomey Legacy Trophy. The teams did not play in 2024. The Spartans have won four straight in the series dating back to 2020.
- UH will look to regain the Paniolo Trophy after Wyoming won the last two in the series.
- Fresno State is UH's longest-standing rival with 56 all-time meetings. The teams met for 31 consecutive seasons (1992-2022) – all as conference members – before the streak was snapped in 2023. The Warriors have won three of the last four matchups including last season's 21-20 victory in Fresno.
