The Rainbow Wahine return 14 letterwinners from last year's squad that recorded a 20-26 overall record and 13-12 mark to finish fourth in The Big West. Leading the 'Bows into 2025 are senior returning starters
Izabella Martinez (catcher),
Chloe Borges (centerfield/pitcher), and
Addison Kostrencich (pitcher). Last year Martinez earned All-Big West second team honors after hitting .287 on offense while on defense she was ranked 12th in the nation and second in the BW throwing out 15 runners. Borges earned All-Big West honorable mention honors after playing solidly in centerfield when not pitching. she hit .277 overall with two doubles and a career-high eight home runs. Kostrencich was UH's primary starter last year finishing with a 12-10 overall record and a 3.79 ERA. She fired 14 complete games with two shutouts in 125.2 innings pitched.
The 'Bows welcome in 14 newcomers--including nine freshmen and five transfers for the 2025 season.
Hawai'i will need to fill the big shoes of six graduated senior starters--including four of the five infield positions. The departed players were six of UH's top eight hitters who accounted for 67% of the team's hits, 60% of its runs scored; 67% of its doubles and 73% of the team's home runs.
