HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i football team will host its annual Homecoming Game with a Mountain West match-up against Nevada, Saturday, Oct. 26 at Clarence T.C. Ching Complex. The Rainbow Warriors (2-5, 0-2 MW) will look snap a three-game losing streak as they welcome the Wolf Pack (3-5, 0-2) to the islands. UH has won three of the last four meetings in Honolulu including the last two.
Game Day Promotion:
OUTRIGGER Resorts and Hotels will be the presenting sponsor for a game all UH fans look forward to with the annual "Homecoming Game." We'll remember the past as we welcome back the memorable 1999 Rainbow Warrior football team as they'll be accompanied by legendary head coach June Jones. We'll celebrate the now by making Homecoming all about the students with 500 Retro Rainbow Rally Towels courtesy of OUTRIGGER and 500 Homecoming t-shirts, designed by alum Drew Honda of Sweet Enemy. The 2024 Rainbow Wahine water polo team will be in attendance to celebrate their Big West Water Polo championship along with legendary and recently retired head coach Maureen Cole. One lucky fan will have a chance to win $1,000 as they attempt the All-State field goal challenge.
All pregame activities have officially moved to Legacy Path, located right in front of Campus Center, and stretching to Dole Street. Fans can expect nearly 30 vendors and activities, along with a pregame concert starting at 3pm featuring Kani Ka Pila Grille talent search winners Rickey Kamai and Kahiau Lam Ho, plus Peni Dean presented by Hawaii's Finest.

GAME STORYLINES
- This week's match-up is the 29th meeting between the teams with Nevada holding a 15-13 overall advantage.
- The teams have met every year since 2000 — all as conference members (WAC: 2000-11; MW: 2012-present). In conference play, the series is tied 12-12.
- Hawai'i has won the last two meetings in Honolulu and three of the last four dating back to 2016 and hold a 10-6 advantage in the 50th state.
- Eleven of the last 13 meetings have been decided by 10+ points.
- UH head coach Timmy Chang coached the wide receivers and tight ends at Nevada from 2017-21 under former head coach Jay Norvell. The Wolf Pack made four bowl appearances while Chang was on staff.
- DL Dion Washington and WR Spencer Curtis played at Nevada prior to UH. Washington appeared in 27 games over three seasons from 2021-23 while Curtis played in 23 games with 16 starts from 2022-23.
- This week's game is Hawai'i's Homecoming game. UH is 41-30-1 all-time on Homecoming.
- Nevada was UH's Homecoming opponent three previous times (1968, 2002, 2014). The Warriors are 2-1 against them with wins in 1968 (21-0) and 2002 (59-34). The Wolf Pack won the 2014 match-up, 26-18.
- Chang was Hawai'i's quarterback in the 2002 game and threw for 381 yards and directed an offense that set school records for total offense (674) and first quarter points (42).
- UH (2-5, 0-2 MW) is coming off a 42-10 loss at Washington State last week in Pullman, Wash. The Rainbow Warriors suffered their largest margin of defeat while throwing for a season-low in passing yards and tying a season-high with three turnovers.
- Nevada (3-5, 0-2) suffered a 24-21 loss at home to Fresno State in a game in which the Wolf Pack led 21-17 at the half and were shutout in the second half.
- Four of Nevada's five losses on the year have come by five points or less.
- UH has allowed an average of 16.3 points in four home games as opposed to 33.3 points in three road contests.
