SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Led by a trio of top 35 finishers, the Hawai'i cross country team closed out the regular season with a seventh-place finish against a strong field of 19 teams at the Bronco Invitational Saturday morning.
"Really solid efforts by the 'Bows this morning," said head coach
Tim Boyce. "We've been working really hard in preparation for championship season so our legs may have been a little fried going in, but it's what needs to be done. We'll benefit overall in the end and had a great training day today. Very proud of this group."
Lucy Milliner led the way for the 'Bows, turning in yet another top-10 finish with a time of 20:49.9 to finish ninth. The freshman is the first UH runner to place in the top 10 at the Bronco Invitational since 2016 (Camille Campos), and has finished in the top 10 in each of her first four collegiate races.
Emilie Kirk Langschwager delivered her fourth consecutive top-15 finish to begin her sophomore year, coming in 11th with a time of 20:52.7.
