LONG BEACH, Calif.--The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team will split its squad this week to compete in a pair of tournaments this weekend. Six Rainbow Wahine will travel to play in the 2024 Beach Tennis Fall Tournament hosted by Long Beach State at their Rhodes Tennis Center, while four will remain in Honolulu to host the UH 'Anuenue Invitational at the UH Tennis Complex. The Beach Fall Tournament will run from Thursday, Oct. 3 - Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024 and the UH 'Anuenue will be from Friday, Oct. 4 - Sunday, Oct. 5.

Returnees Joelle Lanz and Hanna Galindo will be joined by freshmen Emma Forgac and Makeilah Nepomuceno, junior transfer Allaire Berl from Kenyon College and senior transfer Peppi Ramstedt of Long Beach State will all be battling it out at at The Beach's tourney. 

The Beach Fall Tourney features players from Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, CSUN, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, and UC San Diego. The tournament will start with two singles rounds on Thursday (Round of 64 and Round of 32), two singles rounds on Friday (Round of 16 & quarterfinals) with the semifinals on Saturday and finals on Sunday. The doubles competition will begin with the Round of 32 matches on Thursday followed by the Round of 16 matches on Friday. The doubles' quarterfinals and semifinals will be played on Saturday and culminate with the finals on Sunday. They also will be hosting consolation matches from Friday - Sunday.

Seniors Nikola Homolkova, Sheena Masuda, Ana Vilcek and freshman Jazlyn Miyamura will anchor things at home as the 'Bows host the UH 'Anuenue Invitational. The Rainbow Wahine will take on players from Hawai'i Pacific.
