HONOLULU--The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team continued action on the fourth day of the Weinman Foundation Invitational on Saturday at the UH Tennis Complex.

Hawai'i's Sheena Masuda and Nikola Homolkova recorded UH's lone win of the day, knocking off Cal's Jessica Alsola and Berta Passola Folch, 6-3. UH's duo of Ana Vilcek and Nelly Knezkova fought hard, but fell in a tie-breaker to 14th-ranked Hannah Viller Moeller and Mao Mushika, 7-6 (3).

Although the 'Bows did not register any singles wins on Saturday, several Rainbow Wahine did not make it easy for their opponents to earn the "W". UH's Masuda came up just short, pushing her match to three sets before BYU's Bitsy Tullis held her off in the end, 3-6, 6-4, 7-5. Vilcek raced out to a hot start, blanking 12th-ranked Hannah Viller Moeller in the first set. But Viller Moeller returned the favor, evening the match at a set apiece shutting our Vilcek in the second stanza. Viller Moeller then sealed her win, defeating Vilcek in the third (0-6, 6-0, 6-2). UH's Kern won her set via a tiebreaker, but eventually lost in straight sets to BYU's Emily Astle, 7-6 (6), 6-2.

The Weinman Foundation Invitational concludes on Sunday, Jan. 6 at the UH Tennis Complex. First serve is slated for 9:00 a.m. HT.
