SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team concludes a Big West road trip at Cal Poly on Saturday at the Mott Athletics Center in San Luis Obispo, Calif. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. Pacific Time/noon Hawai'i Time.

The Rainbow Wahine and Mustangs enter the game as part of a three-team tie for second place in the Big West standings. UC Irvine is also part of the group at 6-2 in conference play just behind UC Santa Barbara (7-2). UH slipped behind UCSB with a 65-53 loss to the Gauchos to open the road trip on Thursday.

• UH leads the all-time series with Cal Poly 15-11 and has won the last four meetings and eight of the last nine going back to the 2018-19 season. Cal Poly posted its lone win in that stretch on Feb. 5, 2021, 79-71 in San Luis Obispo.

• UH is 7-6 in San Luis Obispo and has won in its last three visits to the Mott Athletics Center.

• UH is off to a 6-2 start in Big West play for the second time in the last three seasons. UH also started 6-2 in the 2021-22 season on its way to claiming the regular-season title at 13-3. 

• UH guard Lily Wahinekapu passed the 1,000-point mark for her career, including her freshman season at Cal State Fullerton, in Thursday's game at UC Santa Barbara. Wahinekapu has 578 points at UH and enters Saturday's game with 1,005 for her career. She leads UH with 10.3 points per game overall and 12.3 in conference play.

• UH ranks second in the Big West in overall scoring defense at 56.3 points allowed per game and 51.2 ppg in conference play.

• UH enters Saturday's game with 957 points scored and 957 points allowed.

• Cal Poly leads the Big West in blocked shots per game with 4.1. Senior forward Natalia Ackerman leads the conference with 36 total blocks and an average of 2.00 per game.

• Ackerman also leads the Big West and ranks 21^st nationally in field-goal percentage at 58.8% while averaging 12.0 points per game. She ranks fourth in the conference with 8.1 rebounds per game.
