HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team hosted the UH-HPU-Arkansas Invitational (scrimmage) on Thursday afternoon at the UH Tennis Complex. The three teams competed in a round of singles followed by two rounds of doubles.
 
Hawai'i's doubles duo of Quinn Snyder and Andy Hernandez split both matches by tiebreakers. First they notched UH's lone win in the first round of doubles, defeating Arkansas' Melvin Manual and Jared Horwood, 7-6 (4). But in their second match, Snyder and Hernandez fell by the same score to Alan Sau Franco and Karlo Kajin, 7-6 (4). UH's pair of Karl Collins and Andrew Somerville were down 5-2 against Arkansas' Connor Smillie and Stefano Savvato. But Collins and Somerville battled their way while holding off multiple match points to force a tiebreaker in the second round, but their comeback bid fell just short, 7-6 (4).
