Men's Volleyball Signs Junior National Team Setter For 2024

HONOLULU – Highly-touted prospect Tread Rosenthal has signed with the University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team for the 2024 season. Rosenthal was initially in the Class of 2024 but reclassified for 2023.
 
Rosenthal, a 6-foot-8 setter from Manhattan Beach, Calif., is the starting setter on the United States Junior National team. He was named Best Setter at the NORCECA U19 Pan Am Cup in both 2022 and 2023, the latter of which he was also the tournament's Most Valuable Player. He led the team to the gold medal both years.
 
The Mira Costa High School product is also an accomplished beach player and was a member of the U.S. Beach National and Training program since 2021. He placed first with partner Aynden Keeter at the 2022 U19 Beach World Championship Trials and tied for 17th at the World Championship.
 
Rosenthal is the eighth player to join the team for the 2024 season along with Kevin Kauling (S, Naperville, Ill.), Aleksa Mandic (OH/OPP, Belgrade, Serbia), Oguzhan Oguz (OPP, Bursa, Turkey), Kai Rodriguez (Gilroy, Calif.), Ryan Sears (Redondo Beach, Calif.), Justin Todd (OH, Houston, Texas), and Zack Yewchuk (OPP, Surrey, British Columbia).
