LA JOLLA, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team finished in a tie for 11
th place after the final round of the UC San Diego Invitational, Tuesday at Torrey Pines Golf Course.
The Rainbow Warriors carded a final round 295 to finish the two-day tournament at 4-under 860. Oklahoma Christian, the No. 3-ranked team in Division II, captured the team title with a 32-under 832 total. Seattle finished runner-up at 834.
UH's
Blaze Akana posted a final round even par 72 to finish with an 8-under 208 total and tie for seventh place. The 54-hole total is the best score by a Rainbow Warrior this season and lowest since Kotaro Murata's 9-under 207 in 2020.
CSUN's Eirik Thomassen ran away with the individual title at 20-under 196, six strokes better than Seattle's Nathan Cogswell.
