UH earned a trip to Knoxville after the four swam an NCAA A cut time of 3:12.76 in the 400 free relay at the Georgia Last Chance Meet in late February. The mark also set a school record and is the ninth-fastest time in the country this year. Nelson, Transom, Friedrich and Scudamore also earned a spot in the 200 free relay field after meeting the NCAA B standard and setting a program record with a 1:29.20 at Georgia.

Transom, who sits in the top two all-time at UH in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle, gets underway in the 50 free Thursday morning before competing in the 200 free Friday and the 100 free Saturday. She ranks 18th nationally in the 100 free with a school record mark of 47.86 while ranking No. 36 in the 200 free with a 1:44.89 and 60th in the 50 free with a program record 22.26.

This marks the first time since 2005 that a Hawai'i women's relay team will swim at the NCAA meet when UH's 200 and 800 free relay teams swam at the event. It's the first time since 2001 that a 400 free relay team will compete at NCAAs. Transom is the first Rainbow Wahine individual to qualify for the 50, 100 and 200 free since 2017 when Bryndis Hansen competed in all three.
