FIRST SERVE
  • Hawai'i (9-0) swept a two-match series last week at Stanford while CUI (4-5) dropped a pair of matches at home to Benedictine Mesa and The Master's.
  • UH leads the all-time series 5-0, including a 4-0 mark in Honolulu. Hawai'i has won all five  meetings in straight sets.
  • The series began in 2018 with a two-match series in Honolulu. The teams played again twice in 2019 — once in Honolulu and once in Irvine — and again in 2020 at SimpliFi Arena.
  • UH is 4-0 at home this season while CUI is 0-1 on the road.
  • CUI's roster features three players from the state of Hawai'i although all three have not seen action this season.
  • This week's matches are the start of a 11-match homestand for UH covering five consecutive weeks. The last time the Warriors played five consecutive weeks was 2001. Hawai'i played nine straight home matches in 2018 (not including two exhibition matches) covering seven weeks.
  • Hawai'i is one of four undefeated teams remaining in NCAA Division I-II along with Grand Canyon (11-0), Charleston (11-0), and Benedict (3-0).
  • UH's current 18-match win streak dating back to last season is the longest in the country. Charleston has the next longest streak at 12.
  • UH has won seven straight matches in straight sets and has a current 24-set win streak.
  • UH is 9-0 to start the season for the fourth time in the last five seasons. The 9-0 start is the sixth longest to begin a season in program history.
  • UH owns a 22-match home win streak dating back to 2021 and a 27-match regular season home win streak also since 2021.
  • Since the Big West created a men's volleyball league in 2018, UH has a 21-4 record against MPSF teams. Hawai'i also has upcoming matches with MPSF teams Pepperdine (March 1 & 3) and UCLA (March 11), the latter of whom is part of the 27th OUTRIGGER Invitational.
