HONOLULU — The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team's hot shooting from 3-point range through three quarters and efficiency from the free-throw line late powered the Rainbow Wahine to a 58-46 win over Idaho State on Saturday afternoon at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.

The Rainbow Wahine (2-4) hit 11 3-pointers in the first three quarters and went 17-for-18 from the free-throw line for the game to fend off the Bengals (2-4) on the second day of the Rainbow Wahine Showdown.

UH freshman
Jade Peacock entered the game 0-for-3 from 3-point range this season, but went 3-for-3 in the first half on Saturday to help the 'Bows bounce back from a loss to Air Force on Friday.

Idaho State scored the first five points of the third quarter, but Perez ended the run with a jumper and McBee hit a 3-pointer to beat the shot clock to give UH a 34-22 lead.
