KAHUKU, O'ahu – The Hawai'i cross country team continued to ramp things up in preparation for the postseason by turning in another dominant effort in a win at the Hawai'i Pacific Invitational Saturday at Kahuku Golf Course.
The Rainbow Wahine took the top nine spots led by freshman
Emilie Kirk Langschwager who took home a victory for the second-straight meet with a time of 22:10. Kirk Langschwager broke away from the pack early on and finished just over a minute before fellow freshman
Jessica Duran, who came in second with a mark of 23:27 just ahead of
Tania Tan, who placed third with a time of 23:32.
Two more freshmen rounded out the top five for the 'Bows, with
Zola O'Donnell coming in fourth with a mark of 23:46 while
Abby Crossley crossed fifth to round out the Rainbow Wahine scorers with a time 23:53.
Keilah Wilkes led the next pack of Hawai'i runners, coming in sixth with a time of 25:00 followed by
Alexandra Zanon in 25:48 and
Ania Magdesian with a time of 25:52.
The Rainbow Wahine will head back to the mainland next week for the Bronco Invitational on Saturday beginning at 6 a.m. HT.
