HONOLULU — The University of Hawai'i women's soccer team heads back on the road for Big West matches at CSU Bakersfield on Thursday (7 p.m. PT/4 p.m. HT) and at UC Davis on Sunday (1 p.m. PT/10 a.m. HT).
 
UH enters the week atop the Big West standings with seven points, one ahead of UC Riverside, Cal Poly and Cal State Fullerton. CSU Bakersfield and UC Davis are part of a five-team pack with five points.

ON THE PITCH
• The 'Bows split their homestand last weekend at Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium, rallying to a 4-2 win over UC San Diego on Sept. 28 and falling to UC Irvine 1-0 on Sunday.
 
• UH ranks second in the Big West with 1.80 goals per match overall. Sophomore forward Amber Gilbert is tied for second with a team-high six goals (.600 per game) after recording her second brace of the season against UC San Diego. Gilbert is also fourth with 1.20 points per game (12 total).
 
• UH's 18 goals through 10 games surpassed the season totals for 2022 (15) and 2021 (14), and is one shy of the 2019 total. A total of 16 Rainbow Wahine players have at least one point this season. Nine have scored and another seven have at least one assist. 
 
• UH holds a 3-2-1 lead in the series with CSU Bakersfield dating back to 2009. The 'Bows and Roadrunners played to a 1-1 draw on Oct. 17, 2022. Kelci Sumida scored in the 26th minute and the 'Bows had a 21-5 advantage in shots taken. CSUB lost at CSUN 4-0 on Sept. 28 then shut out Long Beach State 3-0 at home on Sunday.
 
•UH leads the series with UC Davis 7-3 and has won the four meetings since 2018. The 'Bows pulled out a 1-0 win last season at Waipi'o on Sumida's goal in the 74th minute. The Aggies opened a three-match homestand with a 1-0 win over Long Beach State on Sept. 28 and a 3-1 loss to UC San Diego on Sunday.
