HONOLULU – The Hawai'i women's swimming team highlighted a busy day for the swim and dive programs by coming out on top in a dual meet with TCU, 181.5-80.5, Friday at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.
 
The Rainbow Warrior swimmers also competed against the Horned Frogs, but fell 140-122, while the UH divers finished the first of their three days of competition at the Bruin Diving Invite in Los Angeles.
  
The Rainbow Wahine dominated the dual from start to finish, claiming 13 of the 14 events in the dual led by four different swimmers winning multiple events. Cass Treydte took home the 500 and 1000 free while Dorottya Dobos swept the backstroke events, winning the 100 and 200 back. Kailee Chow won both butterfly events, taking the 100 and 200 fly while Mandolin Nguyen won the 200 breaststroke and the 200 IM.
 
Mario Surkovic led the way for the Rainbow Warriors, taking home victories in three events after winning the 100 and 200 free in addition to the 200 IM. Tomer Goldfaden claimed the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:03.94, while the 'Bows also took home the 200 medley relay to round out the winners on the men's side.
 
Mackaby Pennington and Isabella Plantz paced the Hawai'i divers, as Pennington made the final in the men's 3-meter competition and finished eighth with a cumulative score of 624.20, meeting NCAA Zone E cuts in both the prelims (315.30) and finals (308.85). Plantz was the only Rainbow Wahine to make the women's 1-meter final, finishing 18th with a total of 500.85.
 
The UH diving squad will be back in action Saturday at the Bruin Diving Invite with the men's 3-meter and women's platform competitions. The Hawai'i swimmers will next compete at a four-team meet hosted by UNLV, Jan. 27-28 in Las Vegas.
