A pair of national publications – Athlon Sports and Phil Steele's – recognized several members of the University of Hawai'i football team on its preseason all-Mountain West teams.
Defensive lineman
Blessman Ta'ala was the team's highest rated player, landing on Athlon's second team. The fifth-year senior from Aua, American Samoa has played in 51 career games and was a two-time honorable mention selection in 2019 and '20.
