HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i baseball team tied the series against CSUN with a 3-0 victory Friday night at Les Murakami Stadium.
The Rainbow Warriors (23-21, 14-9) look to Sunday's rubber match for the fourth consecutive week as they will go for their sixth straight series win. The Matadors (27-20, 15-11) had their seven-game win streak against the 'Bows snapped.
After five scoreless innings of baseball, UH got the ball rolling. Junior left fielder

Cole Cabrera also reached base to load the bases. Sophomore
Kyson Donahue stepped in with two outs, drove a ball to the left-center field gap, and scored the game's first two runs.
In the bottom of the sixth junior first baseman,
Jacob Igawa crushed his seventh home run of the season and extended the lead 3-0.
The Matadors put up a fight in the ninth getting two runners aboard before junior pitcher
Dalton Renne shut the door, picked up his fourth save, and completed the second shutout of the year for the 'Bows.

Blaze Koali'i Pontes recorded another scoreless outing as he went six and two-thirds of an inning. He recorded eight strikeouts, allowed one walk, and gave up no runs.

Matt Wong paced the 'Bows in the hit column with a pair of hits in tonight's contest. At the same time,
Kyson Donahue led the way with two RBIs.
The Rainbow Warriors will have the day off tomorrow as graduation celebrations occur, and game three will be played Sunday at 1:05 p.m. HT.
