VALLEJO, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i coed sailing continued its stellar spring season by capturing the PCCSC North Regatta, hosted by Cal Maritime, April 2-3 in the North Bay of California. The win comes just two weeks after the Rainbows claimed the PCCSC South Regatta in Los Angeles.
The Rainbows have now captured three of its four spring regattas, while finishing a strong runner-up in the only one it didn't win. In the PCCSC North Regatta, the Rainbows scored a regatta low 34 points, just edging out Stanford (36) and USC (39). UH placed second in the A division with 21 points, while the B division once again shined with an event-low 13 points.

Devon Stapleton were also strong, fishing in the top four in all but one race. The 'Bows did so against a field of 17 schools as a total of 12 races – six in each division – were completed over the weekend.
Up next for the Rainbow sailors is the PCCSC Spring Championships to be held April 8-10, in Santa Barbara, Calif., as champions will be crowned in both team and fleet racing.
