Last week after sweeping UC Riverside on the road, UH fell in a doubleheader to 48th-ranked UCLA. In the first match, UH pushed the Bruins as far as they could as the match hinged on the last two matches. But UCLA held off Hawai'i 4-2 then won 5-0 in the second match. It was the first time this season that the 'Bows had been swept and the first time that UH lost two matches in a row.
Hawai'i's
Guillaume Tattevin leads the 'Bows with a 10-2 dual match record playing primarily on the No. 4 and 5 courts. He has won seven of his last nine matches and is a perfect 5-0 when playing at No. 5. UH's 34th-ranked
Andre Ilagan comes into the week with an 8-3 dual match mark all played at the No. 1 position. Both Axel Labruinie and
Kilian Maitre have each won seven matches apiece.
In doubles, UH's No. 1 duo of Ilagan and
Karl Collins have combined to record a team-best 7-1 record together Hawai'i's
Blaz Seric and Maitre are close behind with 5-2 record at No. 3.
