Box Score HONOLULU—The 75th-ranked University of Hawai'i men's tennis team (9-2, 2-1 Big West) got back on the winning track, recording a 5-2 win over UC Davis on Saturday morning. The Rainbow Warriors and Aggies' match began on Friday night after a five hour rain delay. The teams were able to get through doubles but none of the singles matches were finished before the rain started to fall again, forcing the match to be suspended until Saturday morning when it resumed at the UH Tennis Complex.
 
The Rainbow Warriors opened by capturing the doubles point. On the No. 2 court, UH's Axel Labrunie and Blaz Seric teamed up to shut out UC Davis' Brett Brinkman and Andrei Necz, 6-0. UH's No. 1 duo of Andre Ilagan and Karl Collins followed with a 6-3 win over Andre Volgin and Ryan Torres.
 
In singles, UH's 20th-ranked Ilagan dispatched UCD's Volgin, 6-0, 6-4. Hawai'i's Guillaume Tattevin followed with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Brinkman. The Aggies' No. 2 Torres then notched their first point with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over UH's Seric. UH's No. 3 Labrunie then clinched the match, winning both sets by a break, 6-4, 6-4 over Ryan Morgin. They played the match out with UC Davis' Andras Necz holding off UH's Collins in a three-set super tiebreaker, 6-7(2), 6-4, 1-0 (7). UH's No. 6, Killian Maitre outlasted Mitchell Davis in three, 2-6, 7-5, 6-4.
 
The Rainbow Warriors will conclude their final homestand of season against #53 UC Santa Barbara at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022.
