HONOLULU- The University of Hawai'i women's water polo team secured their second conference win 15-5 over CSUN Saturday night at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.
The Rainbow Wahine (11-5, 2-0) led in a wire-to-wire victory. The Matadors (8-10, 0-4) have lost ten straight to UH.
In the first half, it was all UH as six different players scored goals. Senior attacker
Elyse Lemay-Lavoie got things started as she netted the match's first goal and would score three in the first half alone. Sophomore utility
Lot Stertefeld was one of six players to achieve multiple goals in the match, both coming in the first half helping take a 9-2 lead at the break.
In the second portion of the match, UH kept their foot on the gas as freshman utility
Jordan Wedderburn finished her hattrick in the third quarter. Sophomore attacker
Alba Bonamusa Boix scored the last goal for UH, extending the victory to double figures.

The Rainbow Wahine returns Friday, Mar. 25, to the Duke. The first sprint is scheduled for 6:00 pm HT.
