HONOLULU—For the first time this season, the University of Hawai'i swimming and diving team received weekly honors from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation following their appearance in a dual meet with Wyoming and UNLV.

Anna Kotonen was named the MPSF Female Athlete of the Week, while senior
Max Burman was bestowed with the same honor on the men's side.
Kotonen claimed her second-career MPSF weekly honor after winning the 50 free (22.86) and placing second the breaststroke (1:02.50). She also helped the Rainbow Wahine when the 400 medley relay with an anchor split of 48.97 in the event.
Burman won both the one-meter (368.75) and three-meter (321.25) while also earning NCAA Zone E scores in each of the two events. The weekly honor marks the first of the Burman's career.
UH is on hiatus till Feb. 16th, when both squads will compete in the MPSF Championships in San Luis Obispo, California.
