HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i cross country/track and field team and director
Tim Boyce announced the signing of three student-athletes on Friday, bolstering the roster for 2023.
Two of the signees, Zola O'Donnell and Jessica Duran come to the Rainbow Wahine as state champions from their respective states. O'Donnell, a local product from Mililani, won the 2022 state title, while Duran claimed the title for Idaho. They're joined by Abby Crossley, an accomplished long-distance runner in her own right who hails from Washington.
O'Donnell, a standout from Mililani high school, is a long-distance runner who has the ability to compete in cross country, 3000-meter, 1500-meter, and 800- meter events. Along with her state title in cross country, she is a two-time O'ahu Interscholastic Association Champion and claimed the 2022 800-meter O'ahu Interscholastic Association championship.

"We're excited to add the 2022 Hawaii State XC champion to the team. Zola is a tremendous student who will immediately impact on cross-country and track and field programs."
Duran hails from Wendell, Idaho, and will graduate from Wendell high school in May of 2023. While claiming the 2020 state title in cross country, she is also a four-time 2A District champion in cross country, a two-time 2A District champion in the 3200, and a district champ in the 1600.

"Jessica is a former cross country state champion in Idaho with great potential. She has been the lone female runner on her high school team, and we feel she'll flourish in the environment we've created at UH."
Crossley, a three-time All-American, including the 2000-meter steeplechase, 3000-meter, and 1500-meter in the Junior Olympics, comes to UH from Spokane, Washington. She is will graduate from East Valley high school in May 2023.
