Rainbow Sailors Place Fourth At Fall PCCSC Championships

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The University of Hawai'i coed sailing team wrapped up its fall season with a fourth-place finish in the Fall Pacific Coast Championships hosted by UC Santa Barbara, November 12-13.

A total of 19 schools competed over the weekend with Stanford (36 points) taking home the title and host UCSB (70) finishing second. It was the second straight year UH had a solid showing in the event after placing third in the 2021 regatta.

The weekend saw a total of eight rotations in three different divisions. Skippers Bastien RasseOwen Lahr, Trey Summers and Erik Anderson  totaled 39, 55 and 34 points respectively in the A, B and C divisions for a cumulative of 128 points. Crew members for the regatta were Devon Stapleton, Chloe Long and  Frances Tarpey-Schwed,.

The coed team next looks to January and the start of the spring season as they host the Peter Wenner Rainbow Invite at home.
