Rainbow Wahine Add Two Signees to November Signing Class

HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i women's basketball program and head coach Laura Beeman announced two signees to the 2022 November class with Brooke Murrell and Vivienne Berrett.

"Both young ladies are culture kids," said Beeman. "They believe in teamwork and celebrating their teammates. They will bring more aloha to our locker room and our community. We could not be more excited for them to join our 'Ohana."

Murrell is a dual sport athlete from Thomas Jefferson High of Denver, Colorado, where she played basketball and volleyball. The 6'2 forward is a scoring threat off the perimeter, as she averaged a double-double during her high school career with 17 points and 10 rebounds per game.

Beeman on Brooke Murrell
Brooke brings a defensive intensity 2nd to none. She is long, athletic, and has an incredible work ethic. Her ability to guard multiple positions will bring our team diversity on the defensive end.
Berrett is a standout from Stanwood high school in Stanwood, Washington. The 6'4 center was recently named to the 2021-22 All-Area First Team after averaging 14 points, eight rebounds, and a block per game. After the state tournament, she was also named to the 3A Hardwood Classic Second Team, where she produced 11 points and nine rebounds per game.

Beeman on Vivienne Berrett
Viv is a true back-to-the-basket post. She runs the floor hard and brings more depth to our post-play. She is not afraid of contact and works hard for position.
