SAN DIEGO, Calif.--The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team travels to San Diego this week to compete in the ITA Southwest Regional hosted by both the University of San Diego at the Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center and San Diego State's Aztec Tennis Center from Thursday, Oct. 20 - Monday, Oct. 24. 

Six Rainbow Wahine will be competing in the five-day regional tournament in both the doubles and singles draws. In doubles, the 'Bows will play at the Aztec Tennis Center with all three matches starting at 6:00 a.m. HT. Hawai'i's Ana Vilcek and Satsuki Takamura will take on Grand Canyon's Natasha Puehse and Stana Strombacha while UH newcomers Nikola Homolkova and Klara Novakova will face UC San Diego's Grace Garmal and Sophie Pearson. Madison Kim and Anna Kern will join forces to battle Natalie Duffy and Diana Yanotwvskaya from Cal State Fullerton.

UH's six Round of 128 singles matches are split between playing with three matches at USD and three at SDSU. Playing at the Aztec Tennis Center will be  Vilcek who will play SDSU's Alexandra Von Tersch Pohrer. Hawai'i's Kern will take on Grand Canyon's Anali Kocevar while Homolkova will play Sophie Pearson from UC San Diego. Playing at USD's Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center will be UH's Kim will battle UC Santa Barbara's Marta Gonzalez-Ballbe; Takamura will play Tanvi Narendran of Arizona; and Novakova will go up against Luciana Kunkel of Loyola Marymount.
