HONOLULU--The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team concludes its UH 'Anuenue Invitational with the final two days of competition. The Rainbow Wahine will face members of the Hawai'i Pacific squad at 2:30 p.m. HT on Friday, Oct. 14 followed on Saturday morning, Oct. 15 at 8:30 a.m. HT. The Invitational will be played at the UH Tennis Complex.
In the first two days of the UH 'Anuenue Invitational last week, Hawai'i's three newcomers
Nikola Homolkova (sophomore transfer from Long Beach State),
Rita Pinto (senior transfer from Vigrinia Tech) and true freshman
Klara Novakova all saw action. Both Homolkova and PInto notched singles victories on Day 1 while returnees
Anna Kern and
Ana Vilcek also posted singles wins. In doubles, the UH duo of Homolkova and Novakova defeated Elodie Busson and Mihoki Miyahara, 6-3 on Day 1. On Saturday, UH's
Madison Kim and Kern nearly threw a shutout, winning 6-1 over Sille Larsen and Rikona Murakami.
