HONOLULU— The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team will face UC San Diego for the first time in program history when the teams meet up on Saturday, Jan. 15. Tipoff is 7:00 p.m. at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
UC San Diego, which joined the Big West last season, is continuing its transition to Division I and the game will not count towards the Big West standings. The Rainbow Warriors played its first game in SimpliFi Arena in three weeks on Thursday and returned in grand fashion with a 72-56 win over UC Irvine.

GAME STORY LINES
- The teams were slated to meet for the first time last February in San Diego before those games were canceled.
- UH is coming off a massive 72-56 win over UCI Irvine in which UH drilled 11 three-pointers and held the Anteaters to just 32 percent shooting.
- Bernardo da Silva posted a double-double (16 points, 12 rebounds) in his second game back from injury. The 'Bows are 4-1 with da Silva in the lineup.
- Noel Coleman tops the Big West in scoring (18.2 ppg) and is second nationally in three-point field goal percentage (.517).
- Coleman, who averages 3.4 three-pointers per game, has scored 20+ points in four of the last five games.
- UH leads the Big West in three-pointers per game (9.7) and ranks 25th nationally in three-point field goal percentage (.379).
- The Tritons also shoot the deep ball well (9.1 per game, 37.1%) and have held its opponents to just 27.1% shooting from beyond the arc.
- UCSD is led by senior forward Toni Rocak (14.8 ppg, 6.7 rpg) who has twice nabbed Big West Player of the Week honors.
- Following its game versus UC San Diego, UH will head back to road for a pair of Big West games at CSU Bakersfield (Jan. 20) and Cal Poly (Jan. 22).
