Hawai'i baseball freshman Stone Miyao earned his Big West Conference Field Player of the Week award after his career weekend, April 23-25. Miyao, who manned third base all weekend, the first time in his collegiate career and first time since as a junior in high school, hit his first collegiate home run and slapped nine hits in the series against UC Davis.

The Hilo-native hit .500 (9-for-18) in the four wins as UH outscored the Aggies 30-9 for the series. The third baseman recorded multiple hits in all four games and multiple RBI in three of the four as he finished the week with four runs scored and a team-leading seven RBI. 

The freshman doubled as part of his three-hit effort in a 9-2 victory in the series finale to help sweep UC Davis. Miyao produced a 2-RBI single in the fifth to provide the Rainbow Warriors with a 5-0 lead.

Miyao, along with the entire Rainbow Warrior team helped sweep a Big West Conference opponent for the first time since 2016 (three game series), also against UC Davis.
