Rainbow Sailors Finish Third At PCCSC Team Race Championship

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. The University of Hawai'i coed sailing teams wrapped up its weekend at the Pacific Coast Conference Championships with a third-place finish in the team race event. It was a repeat of yesterday's results with the Rainbows also finishing third in the coed and women's events.

Excellent conditions greeted the teams on Sunday  on Redwood Creek as 18 races were completed in just over three hours. Three rounds of head-to-head competition were conducted as UH finished with a 2-7 record against a trio of schools. The 'Bows two wins came against UC San Diego, but UH was unable to breakthrough against regatta champion Stanford (9-0) and UC Santa Barbara (6-3).

Sailing for the 'Bows were Bastien Rasse, Devon Stapleton, Samuel Patton, Trey Summers, Owen Lahr, Chloe Long and Frances Tarpey-Schwed.
