STANFORD, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team was swept by 26
th-ranked Stanford, 4-0, early Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference match-up at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
The dual was the second of three for the Rainbow Wahine (5-6, 3-3 BWC) on their current California road trip. UH will conclude the trip with a Big West match-up at Cal State Fullerton, Thursday, April 15.

Nikola Dolakova and
Satsuki Takamura finished first after Stanford's Emily Arbuthnott and Niluka Madurawe took the No. 1 court by a margin of two points, 6-4. On the No. 3 court, UH's
Madison Kim and Lea Romain fell to Stanford's India Houghton and Janice Shin, 6-3, clinching the doubles point for the Cardinal.
In singles, the 'Bows attempted to keep up with the Cardinal before the match was called on Court No. 5. UH's Takamura finished first at No. 2 after Sara Choy secured the win in two sets, 6-3, 6-1. UH's
Bojana Markovic, who won her previous singles match against UC Davis after returning from a long break, came up short against Madurawe on the No. 3 court, 6-2, 6-1. The match clincher came on the No. 5 court, where UH's
Alexis Merrill managed to push Stanford's Emma Higuchi to deuce in the first set before being blanked in the second, 7-5, 6-0.
