The University of Hawai'i men's golf team will compete in the Oregon Duck Invitational March 22-23 at the Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore.
The Duck Invitational is the Rainbow Warriors' third tournament of the season and first outside the state of Hawai'i. UH is coming off a win at the Pearl Collegiate Classic last month for the program's first title since 2014.
The tournament features a 15-team field including two-time defending champion host Oregon, Boise State, Cal Poly, Dixie State, Gonzaga, Hawai'i, Idaho, Louisiana-Monroe, Oregon State, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Seattle U, South Dakota State, UCLA, and Washington.
Participants will play 54 holes – 36 on Monday and 18 on Tuesday – at the 7,015-yard, par-71 course. Play begins at 8:30 a.m. PT both days.
The Rainbow Warriors last competed in the Duck Invitational in 2019, finishing in 15
th place. UH was also set to compete in last year's event, which was canceled due to the pandemic.
Sophomore
Kotaro Murata will headline UH's contingent to Eugene. The Japan native leads team with a 73.4 scoring average and last month, took medalist honors at the Pearl Classic with a 5-under total, becoming UH's first individual winner since 2016.

Justin Ngan,
Kanata Irei, and
Cole Yoshida. Arcano and Ngan both competed at the 2019 Duck Invitational, finishing in 67
th and 84
th, respectively. Also in that tournament, former Warrior
Cameron Kaneko was runner-up, missing a birdie putt on the last hole to tie for medalist honors.
