WAIMEA, Hawai'i – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team wrapped up the 30
th Amer Ari Intercollegiate with an eighth place finish following Thursday's final round in which the Rainbow Warriors shot 312.
With rain and wind greeting the golfers in the morning and throughout the day, Arizona State ran away with the team title with a 37-under 827 total while ASU's David Puig carded a final round 68 to capture medalist honors at 13-under 203. First round leader Blake Wagoner of ASU shot a final round 73 to finish four strokes back at 9-under 207 along with USC's Sixian Guo.
USC was runner-up at 839 while Oregon State and Georgia Tech finished a tie for third place at 854. San Jose State (870) was fourth followed by Washington (878), UH Hilo (935) and UH (938).
UH's top finisher was Hilo native
Isaiah Kanno at 11-over 227. The Waiākea, Hawai'i native opened the tournament with a blistering 5-under 67 but fell back in Round 2. He rebounded on Thursday, improving 10 strokes from his previous round with a 3-over 75 in his collegiate debut.
Sophomore
Kotaro Murata also shot 75 to lead the UH contingent with a 228 total and tie for 35
th place. Senior
Justin Ngan posted 76 for a 232 total and 42
nd place. Sophomore

Justin Arcano (79; 240/45
th), and senior
Cole Yoshida (92; 258/48
th) rounded out the team.
Along with Kanno,
Matt Lloyd (82; 259/49

The Rainbow Warriors are next scheduled to compete in the Duck Invitational, March 22-23 in Eugene, Ore.
