Final Match with UC San Diego Canceled, As Soccer Honors Seniors

HONOLULU-- The season's final match for the University of Hawai'i soccer team against UC San Diego Sunday morning was canceled due to COVID-19 concerns. The match is ruled a no-contest, with neither team being awarded a win in the decision.

With the conclusion of the 2021 season, the Rainbow Wahine will finish the 2021 campaign as the No. 8 seed in the conference standings.

Even though the match did not occur, the traditional senior ceremony took place at the Waipi'o Soccer Complex as planned, honoring the five seniors.

Head coach Michele Nagamine said "Aloha and Mahalo" to Maki Kono, Kayla Ryan, Natalie Daub, Morgan Meza, and McKenzie Moore. All five added countless contributions to the program over the years on and off the field.
