'EWA BEACH, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team successfully completed the first of two home tournaments this week after the third and final round of the Hoakalei Country Club Invitational Tuesday in West O'ahu.
The Rainbow Warriors fielded two teams in the 15-team event with the "A" team finishing in 13
th place after carding a final round 307 for a 911 total, while the "B" team placed 15
th with a 920 total.
San Diego captured the team title, leapfrogging first day leader Louisiana and Loyola Marymount, with a 6-under 282 for a 7-under 857 total. LMU was two strokes back while Louisiana placed third. Individually, San Diego's Charlie Reiter captured medalist honors at 8-under 208 after a final round 69. LMU's Tony Hendricks was runner-up at 7-under 209.
UH's "A" team was led by freshman
Tyler Ogawa, who finished the tournament at 5-over 221 for a tie for 24
th place. Also competing for the "A" squad was

Junior
Matt Lloyd and sophomore Ratio Vissuttipinate were the team's low scorers at 229 for a tie for 54

Garrett Takeuchi (243; 78
th).
The Warriors will next travel to Maui to host the Kā'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational, Friday, Oct. 29 through Sunday, Oct. 31 at the Royal Kaanpali Course in West Maui. The tournament wraps up the fall season.
