HONOLULU - With a full squad in tow, the University of Hawai'i men's tennis team will travel to Malibu, Calif. to compete in the ITA Division I Southwest Regional Championship.

The Rainbow Warriors will take part in the ITA regional after participating in the HPU-UH Invitational this past weekend. On day one of the event, the Rainbow Warriors won four out of seven singles games against HPU. In doubles, the 'Bows swept the Sharks on all three courts.

Andre Ilagan leads the 'Bows into battle after a historic run at the ITA All-American Championships a few weeks ago. Ilagan, who is the ninth seed in the tourney, has a bye in the Round of 128 and in the Round of 64 will play the winner of Loic Van Zeggelaar (GCU) and Jeff Cole (UCSD). UH's Guillaume Tattevin's opponent in the first round withdrew due to injury, so Tattevin will start play in the Round of 64 against the winner of the Karl Lee (UCLA) vs. Sanjith Devinent (UCSD). All eight Rainbow Warriors will be competing in the prestigious tournament.
