IRVINE, Calif. - University of Hawaiʻi freshman Sam North was named Big West Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Chaminade Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 9.
The Castle Rock, Colo. native won the event with a time of 19:47.4 after running the 5000-meter course at Kapiʻolani Park, leading the Rainbow Wahine to finish first overall in the team standings.
Prior to the Chaminade Invite, North finished third amongst the Wahine at the 46th Charles Bowles Invitational in Salem, Ore. on Oct. 2.
