STOCKTON, Calif.—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team recorded its fifth sweep of the season, and its second over Pacific in the past week. The Rainbow Warriors tamed the Tigers, 7-0 at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center in Stockton, Calif. on Wednesday afternoon. For Hawai'i marked UH's eighth dual match win in their last 10 matches.
 
UH captured the doubles point winning on all three courts. Hawai'i's No. 3 duo of Chia-Hua Lu and Sima Telo Alves defeated Pacific's Coby McCaig and Manroop Saini by a break, 6-4. UH's No. 2 team of Blaz Seric and Axel Labrunie secured the doubles point for the 'Bows with a 7-5 win over Nathan Hampton and Toi Kobayahshi. On the No. 1 court, UH's Andre Ilagan and Lucas Labrunie combined to complete the doubles sweep with a hard fought, 7-6, (5) win over Philip Hjorth and Akram El Sallaly.
 
Hawai'i kept things rolling taking all six singles matches, beginning with Axel Labrunie sweeping UOP's Kobayashi, 6-1, 6-3. UH's No. 6 Tristan Martins was dominant, defeating McCaig, 6-2, 6-1. Newly ranked, No. 117 Ilagan clinched the match by defeating El Sallaly on the No. 1 court, 6-4, 6-4. Seric, the reigning Big West Athlete of the Week, came back from being a set down to down John Horoz Garner, 3-6, 6-0 ,6-3. UH's No. 2 Lucas Labrunie followed with a tough 7-5, 6-4 win over Hampton and Alves battled to win in a third-set super tiebreaker, 7-6 (4), 4-6, 1-0 (4).
 
The Rainbow Warriors remain on the road to compete in the Golden State Invitational which is co-hosted by Sacramento State and UC Davis. The tourney runs from Friday, March 6 – Saturday, March 7 and will be held at both the Sacramento State Tennis Courts and the Marya Welch Tennis Center  in Davis, Calif.
