Another Impressive Day for Hawai‘i at Zone E Event

Federal Way, Wash.— The University of Hawai'i diving team repeated its success from the first day of the NCAA Zone E meet and added to it on the second day with three more qualifications for the NCAA Championships.

Both junior Ivy Davis and sophomore Daphne Wils registered scores in the women's three-meter to earn a trip to Athens, Georgia. Wils placed first overall, exactly like she did 24-hours before in the one-meter event. Registering a 347.50 in the prelims, and sitting at first overall heading into the finals, she scored a final of 689.70 to maintain her position.

Davis, an NCAA qualifier from last year in the platform dive, will compete alongside her teammate next week in the three-meter. She finished at No. 9 overall with a score of 576.55. Davis will have a chance tomorrow to qualify again in the platform event.

Sophomore Max Burman keeps living up to his early-season hype by becoming qualified for the national stage in the men's one-meter dive. Placing at No. 8 with a score of 593.25, Burman will travel to Indianapolis, Indiana, for the championships scheduled for Mar. 25-28 and compete in multiple events.

Wednesday will be the third and final day of the Zone E with the platform dive, where UH will aim to have more divers qualify.
